InterContinental Athenee Palace Bucharest, an IHG Hotel

The room was very nice. Large TV screen. Beds very comfortable and an excellent location. One of the best hotels I have stayed so far

In one word - Perfect !! Its an experience of luxury with an affordable cost. The hotel is tremendously beautiful, everything kept and well maintained. Even the basic classics room, in which we've stayed, gave us the feeling of Royalty. Staff were super attentive and pleasant, especially at Breakfast. It took them one breakfast to understand us and give us the feeling of home when we came again. Breakfast itself was very reach and moreover fresh and tasty. Special compliments to Gabriela who was making the personal omelette. She gave us the feeling of a mother who takes care for us with Love. We would definitely grade this hotel as one of the best we've ever visited. Thank You !!

Mind-blowing !!! The ambiance, internal architecture and design are fantastic, the attention to detail of the facilities, towards comfort and utility inside the rooms is amazing. The reception staff was extremely responsive -for example, we we asked that the room of our 3 grandkids be 'not too far' from our King Room (for the two adults) and ... they put the two rooms at just 2 meters apart. The breakfast was just great. Special requests were immediately accommodated in the room. The pool was great in terms of how access is organized and cleanness of the floor is maintained (people who get in with shoes are requested to put plastic slippers on their shoes). The Valet (forgot his name) who accompanied our departure had a great discussion with me and he sounded like a Romanian Journalist and a man I share values with (while we were waiting for 15 minutes with an Uber driver who promised to pick us to the airport and was late - at the end when we gave up on the arrangement with the Uber driver who stood us up, the Valet fixed us with a good alternative cab). I think the relative benefit to cost ratio is the highest of any hotel I have ever attended in the EU or US (a convoluted way to say that it was relatively low cost for such a high-class hotel). The benefit and enjoyment were enormous!

Staff was really nice and attentive, very friendly and always helpful. When we had an issue with a coffee machine in the room they immediately brought us fresh capuccino and changed the machine. Ordering of the shuttle, later checkout, room service were great. And also nice location and very good free wifi.
